More from ya boy Max…new music stylings so you don’t have to listen to robots and algorithms tell you what sounds good. Nothing like your favorite meat sack on Magic 93.1 on music! Seriously, I don’t look that good in so much leather, so let’s stay out of the musical matrix for now shall we…
Silento is back…and while he isn’t bringing the modern day macarena groove back, it’s still a tasty tune he gives you here. Look, we’re all proud of your Grandma doing the whip and nae nae, but there comes a time to move on.
Valentino Khan, the man behind “Deep Down Low,” returns with the dancehall inflections of Sean Paul’s voice, as well laid into the track itself. Island style head banging, if you will…
Ahhhh Bastille. You’ll have a hard mistaking their sound, unless of course you’re listening to Galantis, Cheat Codes, Cash Cash, etc. etc. But the fellas come back big with more of their indie rock sound mixed with big electric beats for the soundtrack to “Bright,” the new fantasy epic from Will Smith and Netflix. Face it, Synthesizers and piano key neckties are seexxxaaayyy.
These guys, known as Enter Shikari, offer a bit of a departure from the regular pop landscape. Think David Bowie’s 80’s mixed with 90’s Weezer, and then throw in absolutely none of Limp Bizkit’s finest work, and you’ll probably have something close. I mean, if you like/love everything the 80’s were about, you’ll enjoy this. If you dig through your parent’s old crates and jammed to Talking Heads, Flock of Seagulls, or anything similar, this is your jam.
Say what you will, but slow jams are a must for every mix. WeAreYou gets you close. You don’t have to go all out Keith Sweat or R. Kelly (maybe not the vibe you’re going for, understandable), but if you want a happy medium, this song is Shhhlide…and it makes you want to do just that
Chromeo…in case you need an instant party full of the funk! These Canadians should be your go to for all that. Their new song is called “Juice” and it brings exactly that.
And there you go. Keep your playlists tight. 931magic.com has all you on the go music needs as well, apps and links galore.
