Hello to you from the world of brightly colored spandex and unrequited deep psychological issues, aka the comics world! Max here, and 2020 has officially sucked, much like a Shop-Vac inside a 40 year old virgins room. It’s looking up, with movie theaters slowly coming back, concerts being adapted for social distancing measures, and much more…here’s what I’m excited about in comics world. LET’S GET NERDY!
The long awaited Avengers video game. This one was a long time coming, with it first being discussed back in 2012 when the first Avengers movie came out. It looks good, and I’m very excited to play it. Official release is Sept. 4th…aka this Friday. Chcck out some gameplay…oooooooooweeeeee….
Can’t forget about the DC universe though. I’ve spent many a hour in front of the screen ripping through digital d-bags as the dark knight in almost every Arkham game put out. The most recent was the announcement of Gotham Knights, the 5th title in the revered series..
I know right?! I’m gonna need some molded rubber to contain my excitment!
A few other notes from around the comics world….
Wonder Woman 1894 is set to release October 2nd. Kristen Wiig is looking exciting as Barbara Minerva, aka Cheetah, a real uncomfortable version of a cat lady.
The Snyder cut of the Justice League movie is going to be released in 4 parts, an hour long each, on HBO Max next year. That may make you think twice about what streaming service you’re using…
DC Comics also laid off a ton of people, so you never know…shoot your shot here.
And lastly, Pattinson doesn’t look half bad as a young Batman. What is it about playing Batman that brings the unhinged sociopath in all of us?
