Well it is official, Peep season is upon us. Now i grew up with a Peep loving Mom who till this day can consume a bakers dozen of those sugary little cavity finders. I on the other hand am not a fan, but….if it’s the only sweet thing in the house, i will get all over that. But for some….or actually most people, peoples are sad little fillers in the Easter basket to make it look bountiful. Merely for decoration not consumption. so i did the research and actually found other uses for Peep. I hope you find them useful..
1: Actually saw where you can use an Easter Peep to stop a table from wobbling about instead of using sugar packets or napkins. Yes you stop the table from wobbling..but oh….you are gonna have ants……
2: Now if you want to use them in a recipe, just remember they are just sugary marshmallows so you can melt them down for rice krispie treats with that extra sugary grit..And how much fun would it be instead of marshmallows around the fire you roast peeps and laugh in a sinister way while doing so!
3. I saw where you can make an Easter Peep Wreath. Though very festive again……ants….
4: Another idea i saw is you can actually make peeps into edible play doh….Not too sure about this one except it would smell better than the original “scent”
5: Of course there is the Peep Sumo challenge. Take two peeps, put them in the microwave, and watch them swell…Whichever one blows up first…Well is the loser…I recommend a microwave that is on it’s way out cause well….You really want to snoop that up??
So as you can see there really isn’t a whole lot of things to do with them so i suggest….just Don’t get em’. But if you do and you don’t want em’….I’ll give you my Moms’ number
